About Us

The Florida Real Estate Course and this website are services provided by American Safety Council, Inc.

The American Safety Council has utilized its experience in delivering defensive driving courses in the classroom to produce the nation’s first Internet-based presentation of defensive driving courseware that was determined to be an effective countermeasure in reducing recidivism by course attendees in the areas of violations and crashes. The American Safety Council further enhanced its reputation as a leader in interactive delivery of state-regulated educational programs by developing the first video-based presentation of a defensive driving course determined to be effective in an independent state agency-sanctioned research study.
Building upon its successes in transportation safety education, the American Safety Council continues to demonstrate its ability to utilize technology to assist in the efficacious delivery of state-mandated knowledge assessments. As a further testament to its success, the organization was awarded the nation’s first contract to offer a state driver license written examination on the Internet. This process, approved by the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, provides customers with an opportunity to complete mandatory testing online while concurrently assisting state government to reduce in-person customer volume and the resulting wait time in driver license offices.

A natural outgrowth of the American Safety Council’s successes in the transportation safety and knowledge assessment fields has been the application of its expertise to increase the efficiency of government processes and services on a broader scale. Products such as Florida’s first comprehensive Internet-based Notary Public registration service and Florida’s first Parenting Course to be offered over the Internet have achieved widespread acceptance and success by simultaneously providing efficacious service delivery and superior value for consumers while at the same time minimizing the utilization of an overburdened state infrastructure.

In line with the American Safety Council’s core mission of expanding the delivery of safety training education via an interactive medium was the recent approval of its Boating Safety Education Course by the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA) and its subsequent first distribution in the State of Florida under the auspices of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. Likewise, expanding on the American Safety Council’s demonstrated ability to deliver programs designed to assist in the issuance of state licenses, the American Safety Council recently launched its state-approved Internet Insurance Prelicensing Course that permits completion of all educational requirements on the Internet without the need for any proctored classroom education sessions, as was previously required in the fields of Life, Health and Annuities.

The American Safety Council continues to build on its expertise in the design and implementation of course and knowledge assessment testing delivery services that enable government and industry to offer required and elective programs in a manner that maintains the effectiveness of the process while continuing to decrease the requisite infrastructure and staffing needs associated with traditional delivery methods.
